St. Francis of Assisi has been credited with this saying, "Preach the gospel always, and use words when necessary." Although theologians cannot verify that he actually said these words, these words do convey a very powerful meaning, that is, our actions speak louder than words. During many Christan worship services there are many symbols and sacraments used. For example, the sacraments include baptism and observance of the Lord's Supper, and some of the many symbols include the cross, water, wine, bread just to name a few. There is one symbol that we may not think of, ourself. In his sermon today. Pastor Don teaches us about the many symbols and the sacraments use in worship services today.
