“For freedom Christ has set us free.” These words are meant to more than amaze us; they are meant to change our understanding about the gospel and give us power to stand in freedom before God, ourselves, and others. The freedom we have in Christ helps us loosen legalism’s grip on us as well as warm our hearts away from licentiousness.
