The present elders are expressing the need for others to accept the call to the ministry of shepherding. B. This need is motivated by the fact that: 1. Current leaders need help in discerning the times and in moving into Post-modernity. 2. Every successful system needs fresh eyes to help it dream again and to recast that vision even when things are going great. C. Every system has occasion to call for new ministers of shepherding to help us see… 1. New sheep, 2. New potential, 3. New directions, 4. And a new means of accomplishing God’s work in the new world we find ourselves living in. V. We are blessed with godly, Spirit-filled men who will help us remember the simple gospel message that must never change. They are adamant about maintaining the truth of the gospel message even as they embrace the reality that the means of communicating and applying that gospel will ever change with new cultures and new learning styles.
