The righteousness of the few can forestall the judgement of God and bring sinners to repentance. Daniel reads in prophetic scripture of the judgements against Israel for disobeying God's commands. As he realizes the days appointed to fulfill that judgement are drawing to an end, Daniel humbles himself and confesses his sins and Israel's sins, and prays a petition to God for deliverance and restoration. Daniel understands the times and seasons of prophecy about to be fulfilled in his time, and receives visions and angelic visitation explaining things to come inot the last days.
