Friends, how are you doing in loving other people? Do you count them more significant then yourself? Do you find more joy in serving others rather than being served? Everything we read in this passage contradicts the culture's message of self being king. Yet regardless of what we see through the various mediums around us Jesus shatters this lie and tells us that whoever loses his life finds it. There is no debate over this issue through the pages of scripture. Living this reality out can only take place when we set our gaze on Jesus Christ our Exemplar.
