In last week's message Israel was going up against the Midianites. The call went out to the tribes that chose not to cross the Jordan into the promised land. They had promised to come to their aid when needed if they could just stay in the lands on this side of Jordan. Only a few answered the call. One tribe gave in to their comfort, ease and pleasure, one gave in to worldly gain, one gave in to indifference, one gave in just failing to take a stand against what was right. When God says get up, rebuke the flesh and go. Sometimes the call goes out to pray and carry a burden, the call goes out to read and study his word, a call to faithfulness, a call to get up out of your easy chair and rebuke the flesh because when God calls you've got to GO!
