The Sadducees, who do not believe in the supernatural, have attempted by using what Moses has said to make the subject of resurrection look foolish, and in turn have tried to make Jesus look foolish. In this Scripture passage, by dealing with the subjects of marriage and resurrection, the Lord Jesus Christ shows that the Sadducees do not have a correct interpretation of the Scriptures that they claim to be experts on.
