Sermon. Hopelessness affects whole being - numb to everything. Zechariah (means God remembers) - priest, blameless, childless. No joy in his response to angel. Job had seemingly hopelessness; still had trust in God. 1. God operates in the ordinary places of life; 2. God can handle our stuff; 3. My story is part of God's story. John (means Jehovah is a gracious giver). Isa 40:28-31.
