In our culture, it is easy to spot a successful person. All you have to do is turn on your television and you will see celebrities and rock stars who have "made it" in the world. You could even go to work and find the person who has spent their entire life moving up the career ladder and now has ultimate authority over you and your co-workers. Better yet. just walk down the street and find the person who drives the nice car and lives in the huge house - they are a prime example of success. We have been led to believe that in order to be successful, you must reach a certain status in life. We must have the perfect job title, power over others, and a large bank account. In the first century, there was a very similar idea of success. In fact, this morning we are going to look at a story about two disciples who believed some of the very same things we believe about success - and how they discover the secret to REAL Success. We would also like to take a few minutes this morning to honor some very special people in the life of our church - our 2008 high school and college graduates.
