This misquoted scripture should read, The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” Greed is not good despite what Gordon Gekko said in Wall Street. Christians need to see the prosperity gospel for what it is—a sham. Many have fallen away because of it. We need to focus on preaching/teaching grace, reconciliation, and an outward witness if we are to grow again.
