We must fill ourselves with truth, so the Holy Ghost can lead and guide me into all truth but we first must know- so He can lead. If we don't have the right attitude about God, we will have an attitude with God and others. How is it that believers can live with such inconsistency, and can smile as long as all is well, but when warfare comes, what is our posture? When stuff happens- that's when it's time to do the Word - that's the real test of the Word. Where we set your mind has everything to do with how we respond to the Word of God. If our mind is not set we will gravitate to what is going on. If we are not careful we will get drawn right in on the circumstances and not what God is or has said. And We will compromise. Why because we didn't set our affections right- it's not that we don't know what the Bible says but we must set our mind to do what the Bible says. Our revelation of God determines the expectation from God.
