Why do we feast as often as we do at the Lord��"s Table with Joy and Gladness? Because we rejoice in a salvation secured for us! And as we reflect on how this salvation came to us, we see glimpses of the story of Esther. Salvation comes to us from a person whose true importance was hidden to us ��" seemingly weak and defenseless, under the same curse we bear ourselves. But God placed His favor upon him even though we did not recognize it. He was given honor that set him apart as the fulfillment of God��"s decree to save His people.
