Josiah experienced conviction when he heard the word of God. Can you remember a time when you experienced conviction based on something you read in Scripture or heard taught from Scripture? What was the conviction and what was your response? What are some factors that help conviction become reality in your life? In other words, what helps the Word of God stick in your everyday activity? Read 2 Kings 23v4-20 and pay attention to the kind of things Josiah removed from his kingdom. What are some things you would like to remove from your home, your habits, your workplace, your life in general? Now read 2 Kings 23v21-25 and pay attention to what Josiah added to his kingdom and the description of his character in verse 25. What thing would you add to your life to help make Godâ€"s Word stick with you. What might you do to turn your integrity in the same direction shown to us by Josiah? Josiah was a great human king but Jesus is the king of all kings. So, how does the kingship of Jesus differ from the kingship of Josiah and how does Jesus as King reign in your life?
