Eph 2:8-10 is one of the most simple, elegant, and familiar explanations of the gospel. Although we tend to think of salvation by grace through faith as a one-time event, Paul clearly intends for us to "walk" in the present-day reality that "we are saved!" This message breaks down the 3 key words in vs.8a, explaining what being saved is not (v.8b-9) and what begin saved is for. In the end, how does this salvation apply to practical, day-to-day life? We may be surprised where Paul takes this truth, intending for it to control and inform every decision of our lives--by faith, through faith, we are saved!
