Success can change people, sometimes for the worse. For success can at times go to our heads, inflating our egos, and puffing us up with pride. So how can one be successful without inflation of the head? How can one achieve fame and popularity and at the same time remain humble and approachable? We find some insight through the life of John the Baptist. John the Baptist never mistook who he was, never forgot who he served, and never overestimated what he did. He was able to navigate the minefield of fame and popularity without it destroying him-- and so can we.
