It is so important as we begin not only another year, but a new decade that we apply wisdom to life. We need to be wise in our living. But what characterizes a "wise Christian"? Paul illumines three characteristics of a wise Christian. Wise Christians (1) walk circumspectly-- that is accurate, according to the plan living. Secondly, wise christians (2) redeem the time-- that is, they may the most of the opportunities God places in front of them. Thirdly, wise Christians understand God's General will for their lives. It is God's will for us to be saved, to be sanctified, to be in submission to authority, to suffer well and for doing what is right, and to be satisfied or thankful for what God has given to us. When we concentrate on the General Will of God, then God makes plain to us His specific plans for our lives.
