Do you feel as if you are merely going through the motions? That nothing captures your imagination? Being a Christian has become boring? You've lost your zest for living? You've lost the passion that you once had for Christ. But the question is, "Can that passion be restored?" The answer is a resounding "YES". To do so, we must first understand what is meant by "spiritual passion". Since "passion" is always used in negative sense in the NT, there are two other words-- "zeal" and "fervency" which captures the picture of passion. This zeal and fervency characterized the life of Paul prior to and after his conversion to Christ. This sermon explores the lexical meaning of passion and then demonstrates how passion is seen in the experience of the Apostle Paul, giving us a benchmark by which to measure the spiritual passion in our lives.
