The historicity of the gospels, i.e. - the resurrection accounts, when tested beside any other document from the ancient world, points definitively to the resurrection of Jesus as the best explanation for the empty tomb, resurrection appearances and the changed lives of the disciples. We also look at one theory that skeptics, and historians have tried to give in opposition, namely that Christ did not die on the cross, but merely swooned.
