In every good story, there is a crisis. A villain arrives or disaster strikes - but the hero rises above it all in the end. There is a "then one day" moment when it all begins to come together and things change for the better. Joseph had his "then one day": in the course of one day he went from being a prisoner in the pit to the king's right-hand man. What is so exciting about his journey is that when his moment finally came after years of waiting in isolation he was ready to seize they day. One question we have to ask is: "Why did God put Joseph through the many years of pain and loneliness?" The best answer appears to be that while Joseph was waiting, God was working. And before Joseph could achieve the success God had in store for him, God had to teach Joseph a number of lessons that could only be learned through trails and pain. What about your life? Are you willing to have your character shaped by the painful years? And when you "one day" comes, will you be ready to seize the day and realize the dreams God has placed in your heart?
