Some of the believers at Thessalonica thought the Lord had already come. Paul told them that two things must happen before He comes: the rebellion (apostasy) and the revealing of the man of lawlessness, the Antichrist. (Who is he?) Paul then exhorted them not to be deceived, but to cling to God's Word.
