Words like predestination, election, chosen, adopted and called appear throughout the Bible, but many people find the doctrine they present to be confusing, if not disturbing. This message looks at Paul's defense of God's sovereignty in the area of salvation. My debt to R. C. Sproul will be apparent in several places, and I recommend his book or video "Chosen by God" for those who wish to study this subject further. As a personal note, except for a farewell message that I gave on 7-1-2007, this was the last expository sermon that I preached at Harvest Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Lincolnton, NC.
