In order for a grapevine to produce a huge harvest of grapes, the gardener must constantly prune the vine by cutting off all the dead branches. This helps the healthy branches become even more fruitful. Jesus said in John 15 that in order for our lives to bring forth "much fruit" for His kingdom, the Gardener must also do a lot of pruning in our lives, cutting away all the things that will hinder our spiritual growth. This process in never pleasant, but God knows what He is doing. Do you trust the Gardener enough to let Him prune you however He sees fit?
