When we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are baptized into the Spiritual body of Christ. We are born of God, and become partakers of His divine nature through the working of the Holy Spirit who brings us into the unity of the faith. (Romans 8:15-16 NKJV) For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." {16} The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, (2 Peter 1:3-4 NKJV) as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, {4} by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. The life and nature of God flows from our recreated human spirit and manifests itself in our lives as the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22), and the gifts or manifestations of the Spirit as seen in 1 Corinthians 12. (John 15:1-5 NKJV) "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. {2} "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. {3} "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. {4} "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. {5} "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. The same life that is in the vine is in the branch. We are to manifest that life to the world.
