To grow in Christ, one should: 1) Know the Word of God 2) Pray and fast 3) Fellowship with one another 4) Serve Read the Bible and you can't miss the expectation of growth. We are told that "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man" Luke 2:52. Jesus grew intellectually, physically, spiritually and socially. It is certainly the right thing for us to expect personal growth. So what are your plans for growth in 2008? Look in nature and you see that growth happens when something is planted and the conditions are right for growth to exist such as water and sun. While all spiritual disciplines are beneficial for growth we will concentrate today on four specific conditions for growth: Bible study, prayer and fasting, fellowship, and serving.
