Having clear vision makes life better - in just about any area you can imagine. Lack of clear vision can be frustrating - in just about any area you can imagine. This message in our journey through Acts - trying to identify First Thing First - moves to the end of Acts 7, which is Luke's account of the first Christian martyr - Stephen. Stephen was chosen as one of the seven "table waiters" in Acts 6 and is a wonderful example of what happens when people are given the freedom to serve God. He ended up testifying so powerfully about his commitment to Jesus that the enemies of the cross could only choose to stone him. To say that he was "focused" is to say the obvious. Learning how his focus can become our focus may be more of a challenge. In this message we look at the end of Stephen's testimony and discover the ultimate blessing of a focused life.
