02-05-2012 Rev. Jim Dickerson Mark 1:29-39 "The Secret to Jesus Life". The scriptures for this week are loaded with lots of action and being busy doing God's work.... This sermon focuses on the importance of developing a balance and rhythm between action and for contemplation, doing and being, the inward and outward, public and private dimensions of our faith, our calling, our ministries as Christians and a Church. It also focuses on the necessity of developing a strong enough "Center" in our relationschip with God that will hold us no matter what we are dealing with. The sermon focuses especially on when, in the midst of lots of activity , healing, exorcising demons, teaching etc., Jesus' "Gets up early one morning, long before dawn, and goes out to a deserted place where he prayed".
