This Sunday we will be studying Luke 5:17-26 and 33-17, learning from Jesus as He responds to the desperate faith of a paralyzed man and his friends who apparently watched a lot of MacGyver or Bear Grylls and lowered him through a roof using some precursor of duct tape. We will also see Jesus beginning to reach out to the religious establishment (who, by the way, we can emulate if we are not careful!) by graciously showing them His authority to give life by forgiving sin.
