This week we continue our study of Zechariah 7-8, focusing on chapter 8. The key question here is on what basis do we have freedom to be authentic with God? That freedom, as we see in this chapter, is based on God's power and promise. Zechariah encourages the remnant who had returned to Jerusalem with a vision of the future of Jerusalem. Why show them the future? To encourage their faith in the present.
