When Elijah chose Elisha as the man who would carry on his ministry, he place his cloak on Elisha's shoulders. The cloak was a symbol of the annointing and power of God resting on Elisha. Jesus Christ has annointed every believer with the mantle of the Holy Spirit. Like Elisha, we too are equipped with a double portion of God's Spirit that we might do the work of God in power.
