We as believers often read parts of the Bible that tell us to be "Doers" of the word or that we must "Bear fruit", we with enthusiasm accept these verses and do our best to move forward. However, because we are so spiritually immature we often "get the carriage in front of the horse" and start to trust our actions rather than change our hearts. We feel disconnected from the ancient Pharisee’s while laughing and mocking their stories, not realizing that we so often live the same way. Depending on our attempts to do good and then expecting that because we did good, God should bless us. We must learn to walk with an obedient heart rather than just obedient action.
