This week we will leave the water walking department and listen to Jesus as he addresses the people that followed Him from the hills near Bethsadia to Capernaum. As I have studied these first 6 chapters in John I am surprised at how often Jesus keeps returning to the basics. It seems as though, both then and now, we must be reminded of what’s really important. Our wrong motives and wrong thinking continually take us down the wrong path. Look at our passage for this week (John 6: 21-40), and note what Jesus centers on as “God’s Work”.
