This Sunday we begin a 4-week church experience called Just Walk Across the Room. I encourage you to purchase a copy of the book ($10) and a participant guide ($5) on sale in the mall all morning. Most of our Life Groups will be focusing on this subject over the next four weeks and DVD's are available (free) to all Life Group leaders at the JWAR table.. In the first message we will talk about how someone's life can change for eternity when we simply venture out of our comfort zone, listen for the Holy Spirit's promptings, and extend our hand of Christian friendship to them. We will look at how Jesus crossed religious, cultural and gender barriers to have a conversation with a woman at a well in Samaria, and how this effected her. We will hear a testimony from a West Houston member whose life was changed when someone extended the hand of Christian friendship and invited her to church. This will be an inspiring and powerful morning. I can't wait! As always, bring your Bibles!
