It has been said that football is all about fifty thousand fans in the stands in desperate need of exercise with eleven men on the field in desperate need of rest. The same thing can be said about Jesusâ€" Church. For too many years, the clergy have been expected to do the ministry of the church. This led to church goers with a consumerâ€"s attitude. As churches become more seeker-sensitive, there is a danger that their services appear more like performances â€" further fueling the consumer attitude. This leads to more and more turnover as people go church shopping, trying to find one that ‘meets my needs. Over the next four weeks we will see what God really says about the part Christian Believers are to play in world today.
